Hot tapping (also called wet tapping, water tapping, water main tapping, or TS&V) creates a branch connection on an existing pressurized water main without taking it out of service. Pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP), also known as concrete steel cylinder pipe, is a common pressure pipe used by Texas municipalities to transport water and wastewater across long distances.
